Governor Jerry Brown, on Tuesday, signed Assembly Bill 1668, by Assemblyman Ian Calderon (D-Whittier) -- co-authored by Senator Jeff Stone (R-LaQuinta) -- that will permit terminally ill patients to use experimental drugs or procedures that have successfully completed phase one of a clinical trial approved by the United States Food and Drug Administration, but have not yet been approved for general use.
